1934 Leo Szilard files a patent application for the atomic bomb.
1938 Otto Hahn, Fritz Strassman and Lise Meitner made Uranium nuclear fission
1939 Albert Einstein's first letter to President Franklin Roosevelt. WW II Begins.
1941 President Roosevelt authorizes the Manhattan Engineering District.
1942 Colonel Leslie Groves is in charge of the Manhattan Project. He hires J. Robert Oppenheimer as Scientific Director.
1942 The first controlled and self-sustained nuclear fission reaction is made.
1943 The US Military begin working on the delivery of the A-bomb , the "Thin Man" for Roosevelt and "Fat Boy" for Churchill.
1945 Franklin Roosevelt dies, and Harry S. Truman becomes the 33rd President of the United States. Trinity Test at New Mexico.
"Little Boy" explodes over Hiroshima . Three days later," Fat Man" explodes over Nagasaki.
