While making the Atomic Bomb, the scientists were not aware of the side affects of the atomic bomb. They believed that it was only a regular bomb magnified thousands of times. When President Truman decided to drop the bomb on the Japanese islands, there was no consent with anybody. Truman decided to drop the bomb The U.S. Government decided to bomb Japan as fast as possible. Straight to Japan. Although the motives of Truman were unclear, it is believed that he thought that the Japanese empire was a threat and the cost of the atomic bomb was too large to waste. The U.S. had to make Japan believe that there were many more bombs to follow and also that they were not bluffing. Although Japan already surrendered in January of 1945, the U.S. demanded an Unconditional Surrender. This meant the system of emperors would have to be abolished. Racism played a key role in the bombing of the two cities.

Advanced Tactics of the American government
- The American government clearly understand the lack of capacity that Japan was not able to self-produce their own food, so the Soviets and U.S. created a blockage around Japan. This caused all the food to be transfer to the military forces while starving the citizens even more. Excellent strategy by the Soviets and U.S. because it caused huge commotion and inner conflict from the Japanese citizens that aided the surrendering of Japan.
